Yeah, I mean, it's a while now since I had one. I remember it wasn't just a question of getting the settings right, there was something in the sound of the unit that bored me as part of a guitar rig - the repeats sounded flat, 2 dimensional, and that's what I guess I meant by relative wet/dry levels - with something like a EH analogue delay, or even a digital delay I liked like the DD-20, TC Nova Repeater, Line 6 Echo Pro from my rack days, you could have subtle repeats or loud repeats and they did what you wanted of them. With the D-two quiet repeats just vanished and loud repeats were a washout.
I concede that I didn't look into impedance related issues - though my signal was buffered, perhaps there was some issue of the input or output loading that didn't work in my setup, though as I say when I replaced it with an Echo Pro there was no issue.
It's a feel thing, maaaaaaaan. You squares just wouldn't understand.
As a studio delay for vocals, general mix duties, it was fine. But in a guitar rig I guess for my personal taste I want something more coloured/juicy.
