Right. I'm looking for a fall back position for when you pitch up for the gig and your 100w amp fails. But it must be as small and portable as possible with minimum rejigging everything (otherwise it just won't get packed). So
@thomasw88 suggested the ZT lunchbox. Looks perfect. Can put it via the PA and use the internal speaker to monitor. Then i thought the acoustic version might be even more practical. It has an effects loop, reverb, takes a mic and has a second channel and is still rated at 200W. I read somewhere that it is designed to accommodate a wide range of pick up/ input levels. So....
Is there a good reason not to play electric ( with pedals) via this amp?
Will volume be lost?
Is there an 'at least as good' alternative that is one box, teensy and simple as owt e.g. a Sansamp type pedal ( but how would you hear it!?). Bear in mind it'll only be used in an emergency.

The Magnum is just a pedal sized power amp. Feed it to the speaker in your cab/combo.
It did sound shit mind.
A bigger solid state amp is better ie fender frontman or orange cr amp, but then you end up lugging two amps around.
