Good Quality, but not extortionately priced, true bypass wah recommendations?

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good, true bypass, wah pedal? I tried the crybaby mini and whilst I liked the sound, my big feet want a full sized pedal.

I'm not a massive wah user, but like to do the odd Jimi impression - so would like a wah, but don't want something sitting there the whole time costing a fortune or sucking signal.

Any recommendations?

Pete

Apparently the EHX Wailer Wah is true bypass, and it's £52 on most websites - seems to get pretty good reviews.

I have the new-ish wah from BOSS - the PW-3.

It's solidly-built (die-cast), sturdy and offers 2 voices, true-bypass, has lights on the side to show it's on and is about the same size as the Xotic i.e. scaled down but not as small as the mini-Dunlop.

Sounds fine and does the job for £99

I like the Ernie Ball wah. As it's discontinued bargains can be had.

Thanks for posting this, wasnt aware boss did a small decent sounding wah. Looks like it could be just right for my board :) it's not buffered like a normal boss then?

I don't believe so and this one's been a little under the radar but check out the clips.  Treadle is big enough.

That's just a cheap knock-off of the highly respected Vertex Axis Wah.

They're not true-bypass, but the Weeping Demon and the Junior have a good buffer in them and don't suck the signal dry like the Crybaby.

@digitalscream  - are you referring to the Boss? Apologies, I think you might be right but I'm sure someone in one of the demos said it was but none of the bumf says that.

    No, the Ibanez Weeping Demon.

OK.  No perceivable tone suck on the Boss if others are wondering.

If you like the sound of the Crybaby Mini but not the size, would a standard Crybaby left switched on in the loop of a bypass loop switcher do the job, or would that require too much tap-dancing? As well as fixing the tone suck that could give you a status LED if you add power.

    Love my Crybaby standard.
I haven't noticed any tone suck tbh, I run it after a buffer tho.

Crybaby isn't as bad as a stock vox. That thing killed my sustain.

:) that's where I got the idea it must be good if it fooled all those pros into thinking it was handmade etc. They were right, it's great :)
