Currently got an EQD phaser which is good...not crazy but a lot more complex than a Phase 90
However, rock guys often prefer the 90 as its a stronger effect and there is TC chorus as an alternative for a more modern tone.
Chorus - Roland JC-120.
OK... probably the Boss CH-1, although I'm not sure I've found the best one yet. (Currently have a CE-2.)
"Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski
"Only two things are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein
For a good, cheap, outside bet, see if you can find an ARIA Chorus.
I love the Phaser in my Ibanez multi, probably looking at a Maxon to get the same thing in pedal format.
Digitech Multichorus, a bit more complex, but an awesome chorus.
I haven't tried the bigger MXR chorus, but everyone I know whos' tried one (both of them) raved about it.
MXR Phase 90. My own preference is the script* logo model, followed by the block logo one, or best of both worlds the EVH P90.
*The reissue with the LED, not the original non-LED model.
Ringleader of the Cambridge cartel, pedal champ and king of the dirt boxes (down to 21)
Phaser-wise I got an MXR phase 90 script reissue - love it.
Chorus - Ibanez BC-9 Bi-mode
Best phaser: Blackout Whetstone

cheap,simple sounds just like mxr
Chorus: Boss CE-2 with an honourable mention for the MXR Analogue Chorus (M234)
Chorus, I love the moog mini chorus, loads of sounds, but dialling it in can be a little awkward. Boss Waza chorus right up there too.
Best Phaser: Ibanez PT-9. It's very similar circuit-wise to the Boss PH-1r.
I said maybe.....
