Just wondering whether anybody could suggest or recommend any good guitar/music films please? I have just broken my ankle so kinda stuck on the settee in a sodding great cast and going crazy!
If I have to watch one more episode of Homes Under The Hammer or Escape to The Country I will not be responsible for my actions! Haha
i have plenty of good music to listen to, books to read, guitars to play and my first ever pedal board to build but sometimes it's nice just to do nothing and watch something on telly (especially when the industrial strength cocodamol I am taking for the pain are making me rather trippy! Lol).
Thanks folks !

Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after youhttp://thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/109964/music-films/p1
Dig! is a good watch---all about The Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Dandy Warhols.
Pulp: A Film About Life, Death, and Supermarkets is not your standard music documentary. But then again Pulp were never your standard band. Worth seeing.
Standing On The Shoulders of Motown is a great documentary about the house band at Motown. Essential viewing.
There was a documentary a few years back called "Fuzz: The Sound That Revolutionised the World". Not the greatest film but interesting to guitarists in particular. Last time I looked you could watch the whole thing on YouTube.
Amadeus is a quirky choice, superb movie.
Walk The Line is excellent.
Whiplash is excellent.
Unquestionably the best rockumentary ever made - or ever likely to be.
I really appreciate your help loads!
Roxy the Movie is great if you have any interest in Zappa. Lemmy movie is a decent watch.
Loads of the Classic Albums documentaries are worth a watch....https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classic_Albums.
The Filth and the Fury (Sex Pistols)
The Future is Unwritten (Joe Strummer)
Oil City Confidential (Dr Feelgood)
Miles Ahead
Whiplash
The Wrecking Crew
Montage of Heck
The Last Waltz
All Is By My Side
Ricki and the Flash
Once and maybe the sequel Begin Again
Oh yeah...and Coyote Ugly
As for music documentaries, Hello Quo is pretty decent. If you can find it (probably via Torrent sites), The Beatles Let It Be is worth seeking out. As suggested, Beware Of Mr Baker is well worth seeking out, the man is a total lunatic!
