just because you do, doesn't mean you should.
Have used Freesat and a Humax recorder for the past few years, due to the terrestrial signal being so poor as to be unwatchable. It's very good, and I've had no problems with either picture of sound, both of which are crystal clear. Unless your dish is covered with packed snow, that is. If you want to record one programme and watch a different one you will probably need a second LNB on the dish, or whatever they call it.
Btw, check out the Humax website for refurbished bargains. They do different grades, the top graded ones have full manufacturer's guarantee. I got one 4 years back and it's been rock solid.
I have one I don't use since we moved house, I have no bought a Humax Freeview HD
Both equally good. do you want my used one? I can't see me fitting a dish here
Yep went for Freeview Humax box, (£54/m Sky dumped) and dish disconnected.
Family are coping, just!
