SOLD - Fender CS 60th Anniversary Heavy Relic Strat...
What's Hot
Sadly this has to go.... It's an absolutely amazing instrument bought from
@thebreeze from this very forum. I've used Steve's pics....and Steve, if you mind I'll take 'em down and take some of my own.
I wish I could keep but space and cash require that it moves on...it's a truly great thing and sounds/plays/feels exactly right. I would dare to say that it's the nicest US built Strat I've ever played. The attention to detail is simply superb, feels gorgeous, sounds amazing. Comes with all "case-candy", Cruz toolkit, cable, strap, picks, spare trem springs etc etc etc plus some bumph from the shop Steve bought it from....
Fender Custom Shop 60th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster Heavy Relic (2014)
Two-tone sunburst
1 piece ash body
'54 U shape maple neck
9.5 radius
Handwound '54 pickups
Weight 7.0 lbs
Tone knobs '54 replacement plastic, originals included but one with hairline crack (such is the level of reproduction on these!)
An amazing instrument.
I'd like £100 less than I paid, now only £2400.
Feel free to drop down to Brighton for tea/coffee/biscuits/beer etc for a play. I'd prefer you try before you buy (obviously) and cash on collection would be great!

I bought it from Wilcutt Guitars in the States and chose it for the weight and because I loved the grain of the wood with sunburst, which is unusual and I think made possible with it being a 1-piece body. For anyone who likes big necks and a maple board it's perfect. As you say, the attention to detail is first rate and Fender really went the extra mile with it being an Anniversary edition - it has the feel of a Masterbuilt all day long. I've played an original '54 and there was nothing to tell between them albeit it has a 9.5 radius and a 5-way for convenience. This was my dream guitar but I had to accept very reluctantly I prefer a smaller neck.
Deal with confidence with Merlin, he's a lovely bloke.
