Hey Folks

What are your favourite YouTube channels for guitar stuff? Preferably actual performance/lessons/inspiration or technique related stuff rather than gear reviews but anything goes!

A couple of my favourites

- Blues Guitar Institute
- Thomas Gilbert
- Active Melody
- LickNRiff

  • frog leap studios.

this one is a gem. 10 million views in 3 months is pretty crazy:

I just wish he would add a bit more variety in his video locations, they all get a bit samey filmed in the home studio, and maybe ditch the close-ups of the teeth ;) great content though, a lot of youtubers could learn from this guy. Also proving that making actual music is how you get the hit counts, not boring gear reviews and gear comparisons.

That guy is a brilliant teacher and his approach never makes me feel like the inadequate idiot I am.

I like Dave Simpson's videos.  Lessons are quite specific in that they are nearly all hendrix, john frusciante or peter green I find him extremely likeable and I enjoy his playing style.

I'm also a fan of Woodeso and Dave's world of fun stuff.

I watch Ola Englund, I've enjoyed his FAQ videos when he does them and I like the kinds of riffs he plays.

I watched one yesterday where he played an old Squier Affinity Strat through an ancient Zoom pedal and a Carlsboro solid state amp. Remarkable tone!

One that I think is underrated (demo's not lessons) - Peach Guitars - some decent content there, well recorded and the main man is a great player. How they only get 700 views vs 70,000 of you know who is beyond me. But much earlier days for them I guess.
