Argh. Still on balance probably have to leave these ones for others this time. But I'll firmly enable anyone else who wants one.
I will defiantly be getting one at some point.. and yeah I dont love the look.. but the tone was that good (for me)
At ~£2k that's the same ball park as an Elite Fender Strat. There's something about the vibe of the MusicMans that I really like, but I wonder if I'd regret not going Fender..?

The build quality and attention to detail (and the new roasted necks) is a cut above the normal Fender guitars, and I'm a big Fender fan. Most Musicman USA guitars and basses feel like a custom shop instrument IMO.
IMHO, this is one of the best values out there. Zillions have said it but it bears repeating: Quality is up there with Suhr, Tom Anderson, Tyler (all of which I've had), but for some inexplicable reason EBMM costs less. I prefer my Cutlass to any other strat type I've had with the exception of D'Pergo, which is a different vibe alltogether and requires both kidneys to purchase.
I'll also be looking for a roasted neck because those are killer just to look at, let alone play.
Agreed! Sorry I 'LOL'D' by accicdent and changed it to 'Wisdom'!
Whilst it may not be your taste shape-wise, have a look at how stunning their builds are here for an example:

I think the fact they had a period of time when there was a big price difference between some very similar models hasn't helped resale. The US Made Sub was pretty much a 2EQ Ray, and even the 2EQ Ray was considerably cheaper than the 3EQ Ray but looked pretty much the same and some felt it sounded better anyway.
