Up for sale is my vintage 1960 Dot Neck ES335- a stunning, heavily quilt flamed Golden Era 335, with Mickey Mouse ears, factory long pickguard and factory stoptail- pro set up, and sounding spectacular!

The reason this isn’t twice the price of any other dot neck 335 currently for sale is because it’s had a very old, perfectly aged and authentic looking/feeling nitro refinish in a 1960 correct ‘water melon’ cherry.

The pickups are early Patent Number’s with full PAF specifications of purple plain enamel windings etc, and I’ve fitted long rough cast Alnico magnets to bring them to exact ‘57-‘59 PAF spec, and they sound superb- fat, articulate and singing, and suit the guitar beautifully.

There are no neck repairs or structural issues, and the Brazilian RW fretboard is jet black and burnished from playing, and benefits from a pro refret.

All plastics save the ‘70s M8 bridge pickup ring are original 1960, including the factory long pickguard, and the ABR and stoptail are original, and the tuners a mix of vintage and aged repro.

All in all, this is a rare opportunity to score a top tier Golden Era, PAF spec 335, at the fraction of the cost of an untouched example, with no compromise in tone, cosmetics or playability.

The guitar comes with a plush lined ‘50s Selmer hardshell, which fits great and looks the part.
