I was watching that PA rundown thing someone posted on here the other day so hadn't thought about them for years before that. Certainly a band who followed their own vision, they looked amazing live.
49, bloody hell. RIP Keith.
Huge loss.

An acquaintance of mine was on holiday in australia with keith a couple of years ago over Christmas/New Year. He got a call in the gap between the two asking him to play the O2 on new years eve. The chap I know said keith was on the phone saying "no I'm on holiday, its not a question of money. How much? I'm on my way to the airport!"
He flew home played O2 and flew back to finish to holiday.

A big loss. RIP Keith.
I'm shocked and saddened, adding his own vocals to Firestarter really opened The Prodigy up to a much wider audience and took their music into the global mainstream. I will never forget seeing the video to Firestarter when it went UK No. 1 and thinking that I have never seen anything like Keith Flint since Johnny Rotten's manical leering heyday with the Sex Pistols.
Suicide always baffles me, but I've never been dragged into the abyss like those that feel the inclination.
I met The Prodigy including Keith at Copenhagen airport in 1995, they were in the queue in front of me with their trays getting some food, then sat at a table opposite and were very quiet and polite as I had a brief nervous chat with them.
RIP

Agree with you totally, a very rock n roll dance act, and Keith was an amazing front man.
I'm devastated by the strong likelihood that he took his own life, having also spent my day discussing mental health provision for young people. It's really got to me.
