NGD: Chibson Time Again

Along with several other guitars today - thanks @benmurray85 - this arrived for a song...a Chibson-tastic Joe Perry signature model.

It actually came with pickups, etc, but they were some naff stuff which were immediately removed.

Also removed was the nasty ‘Joe Perry’ script...

So...I’m just deciding what to do next, finish-wise.  

Weight is OK, the neck feels good and frets seem OK, so once I’ve resolved the finish quandary, I’ll build the carcass up with some decent hardware.

    Looks better without the shit signature on it, but I like the finish if I'm honest.  What pickups are you gonna stick in it?

    Not sure yet. Got some vintage Schallers, Shadow and a few others.

    I don't think the bridge is mounted at the correct distance. Have you checked?

    This matters not for two reasons:
    1. It's only a Chibson not some collectable piece.
    2. Our 'Arry is probably going to carve up the guitar to install a vibrato tailpiece.

    Something black, hopefully. Cream bobbins or chrome/nickel plated metal covers would look naff.
