Spoilers up to p.206:
I've found that the series is consistently written so that I've been coming to the same realisations, or formulating the same plan as the characters right as they do, which is good fun.
I'm worried that not all the old Roci crew are going to make it through this one...

I started with S1/2 of the show when they were on Netflix, then read the books (S2 ends about halfway through book 2). The show is a *really* faithful adaptation of the book, although it wisely introduces a character we don't get until book 2 right at the start.
