    ...but worth a watch for Keifer Sutherland's either atrocious or brilliant (depending on your point of view) moustache-twirling performance as the "villain".

    It's ridiculous compared with the pace of the early seasons where a mere journey to a battlefield could take multiple episodes.

    It totally lacks nuance and detail, they are rushing through from over-dramatic scene to the next.

    And... As a gratuitously bloody and violent spectacle with very questionable CGI quality it really doesn't hold up.

    I watched this episode wanting it to just end and I just didn't believe that Danaerys wouldn't immediately go after the Red Keep once she'd destroyed the scorpions.  She must have known Cersy wouldn't give a fuck about the people.

    One contrived scene after another, honestly.

    Two ENTIRE seasons of rushing as fast as they can to the end. In the grand scheme of the show, it makes zero sense. But, I guess, on a personal level, the creators seem to not want to do it anymore and getting rid of it was more important to them than pissing off long-time fans.
