    The gold one seems overpriced...

  • Rarity. There's only 200 blue but 400 gold.

Having said that, my Trini was a limited run of 200 but cost the same as as gold DG.

  • so taking into account the original run of 300 blue ones - you are left with 500 blue overall and 400 gold -

Nah - happy to lose one nut but not the pair. managed to sell my variax last night for a very decent price (and got a free CD from the buyer as well - buyer was a singer song writer and wanted a variax for his studio).

saw that as a sign that i was right to order a gold one

I honestly think the gold looks nicer for what it's worth.

If the profile doesn't have that flat spot that a lot of the 60s neck ones have, then I might be persuaded to buy a gold one anyway. Guess I could put a deposit down and find out...?

  • The original DGs had a very beefy neck iirc. Too beefy for my tastes by a wide margin and easily the biggest 335 neck I've tried.

  • Lol, £59

Go on get one, Andertons have one gold left (24 months fiance interest free as well)

Thomann also have a couple they work out at around £2450

From my own point of view i cant see anyone who buys the gold one loosing any money if they decide to sell it later on. Ultimately its going to go up in value (maybe not as high as the blue one). So even if i only use it for a few months its likley to retain its value or even go up in value.

After this issue there will be 500 blue ones out there (includes the original run) and only 400 gold ones

Good to know, although slightly irritating! I had a Fat-Neck 335 for a while and loved the profile, I thought I'd read that the first run were going to be the 60s profile, which is exactly why I didn't order one back in '07/08 or whenever they were first announced! :(

@sunshinewelly - you might be right, I've got my pelham blue Chibson already, so gold would be the appropriate choice!

    Hmm indeed...

Would anyone like to buy some pelham blue paint? £500 a litre. :P
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.
