Knackered Jack and the Resistors UK 'Lollapaboozer' Tour Dates 2015

May 30th - Walsall, West Midlands.

June 27th - Leicester, East Midlands

July 25th - Cambridge, East Anglia

    August 22nd - Chelmsford, Essex

    September 26th - North London

October 31st, Halloween Party - Brighton, South Coast

November 28th - Bristol, South West

    • December 19th, Christmas Party - Manchester, North West

    _____________________________________________________________________________

    • Exact Locations are to be confirmed as we go. It would be a massive help if those people in the areas listed could suggest suitable locations for me to contact regarding rehearsal studios and venues / pubs.
    • All dates fall on a Saturday.
    • Rehearsals will be on the afternoon of the same date and will last for 4 hours, hopefully from 12pm - 4pm. It is not essential that you attend the rehearsal but it's there for you if you feel that you would like to run through whichever songs you want to perform that night.
    • Setting up at the venue should ideally be around 6pm to kick off the music around 8pm.
    • Typically we will only ever get to play until last orders around 11pm.
    • I will be looking into hotels in the various parts of the UK and if i can get a discount for 'Block Booking' rooms then i will notify everyone here.
    • Given that it's expected for there to be a lot of equipment at these events, it's not essential for everyone to bring guitars and amps etc. Providing that 50-60% of us bring equipment, those who need to travel via coach or train would not necessarily need to bring anything except a sense of fun and enthusiasm.

    _________________________________________________________________________

I need some input now as to exact locations and venues from those who live in or near the above area's. Names and address' inc phone numbers will help me to plan this and provide details here for everyone else. The above post will be Copied and updated as and when i can get these events confirmed and booked.

Let's make this the year we bring the fun back into live music !

Both the Walsall and Leicester ones look possible for me. I'm free then and can get to both places, would just need to enlist some in-law help to have the kids for the afternoon.

Here is the initial song list.
It is subject to debate, additions and alteration but it's a good mix of songs that will hopefully cover different genres and styles and also allow for different levels of ability and confidence on stage.

To be honest Tony i am so much in the planning stage and this thread is really for the input and discussion so i can try to make this suitable for everyone, or at least as many people as possible.
Once i have things finalised i will do just that and either update the first post or make a separate announcement with solid dates and locations.

That's just the initial thoughts on a 'Resource List' that people can draw from.

I expect that list to double in size at least before it starts to take shape properly.

The posts here are limited in body size.
If someone could help me create a PDF and then tell me how to link to it so everyone can see the songs in one big list, that would be helpful.

I am unlikely to be able to make the Cambridge date as that is the weekend for taking the children to three different camps.

Likeliest venue for Cambridge is the Boathouse on Chesterton Road / Mitcham's Corner. They've got a separate room you could book for the rehearsal and the gig, plus decent food /drink available from the main bar.

    @bigjon
None of the dates are set in stone yet.
If enough people need me to shift a date one week, one way or the other that can be done at this point before things start getting booked.
Anyone else in the Cambs area need the date altering?
Thanks for the tip on the venue.
As soon as I've got some more opinions on the date I will give them a call.

    Howdo,

That's one hell of a set list.

All being well, I will be at the Walsall and Manchester dates, and almost certainly some of the others.
I'm in Peterborough a fair bit at the moment, so Cambridge should be ok, unless you move it to the 18th as I have a gig that night.

Hope to see some of you at @Lloyd NW Jam in Manchester next month
In jazz, no one can hear you scream
