Sorry geezer ...
Got to make my way round to Potters Bar tomorrow to get it ... normally I wind up going there with sick horses (Royal Veterinary College is at Potters Bar) so it'll make a nice change to go for a pleasant reason

My god the quality is right up there ... my Vintage Modified Tele Custom is right up with Fender Mexican quality ... and so is this beastie. Light as a feather with a super comfortable neck that just asks to get a SRV round the edges. Not a huge fan of 'banana pudding' cream with a fridge door white scratchplate ... but still.
Nice fretting, though the action could be improved ... a tad high at the nut.
Pickups ... hummmm well really not too bad. One hell of a far cry from the nasty ceramic powered junk that used to 'grace' Squiers. As a pickup specialist I'd say they are a little 'constipated' in the bass end ... and the bridge is a touch ice pick like ... but more than a creditable stab ... I've heard MUCH worse pickups on US Fenders.
I'll be setting up the action and spending some hours getting the feel of it before deciding which Oil City pickups will find a home in its routs. Gosh I love this bit.
