And I don't mind doing a bit of rhythm on Fortunate Son, since somebody taught me the chords in Leicester!
Excellent - have added you to that song.

Looks like, there will be about 13 of us so there’s plenty of opportunity to join in and try out stuff even if it’s just strum a basic chord sequence backing up another rhythm guitarist.

Sure - I assume you want to play on that rather than be one? ;-)

There is now a possibility that I could make this. Are any spaces still open?

@mrkb - I've had a look at the list - stick me in for bass on all of them.

Mark, please could you put me down for Basket Case, Fortunate Son and Ever Fallen In Love With. If we need additional songs for the extended jam, Country Girl by Primal Scream and Tush by ZZ Top could be options.

In term of gear, I'll be bringing my PRS Custom 24, Matchless Lightning 15w Combo and pedalboard (Budda Wah, Hardwire Tube Overdrive, Way Huge Delay and Hardwire Chorus) which anyone is welcome to try.  If anyone happens to have a Bearfoot Emerald Green Distortion Machine or Crowther Hot Cake I would love to give these a try.

    Cheers. Ian.

    Right,

Ive managed to get all the drum notation sorted (apart from Jolene but I can work that out, and "Ever fallen in love" - buts thats punk so I'll make something to fit) and had a run through. Im never going to get Pearl Jam "Alive" up to speed in time unfortunately (too much bass pedal (possibly double) and weird time signature bars) - but Ive found a drum only track (sounds like its played by a live drummer) on youtube that we can stick through the PA. I'm going to have to work on Basket Case as well so will look for a back up to that if needed. The rest will be fine with me running through them a few times. I'm happy for another drummer to step forward and take on a few songs if needed.

How are the guitar practices going? Looks like we have 4 guitarists for "Ever Fallen in Love" so we'll run through that twice with different lineups if needed.

"Feel like making love" is an ace jam track - thanks to who ever suggested that. Any more suggestions for the jam along songs?

I have a "Live Forever" guitar mag tuition article if anyone needs it.

At this point I won't complain if 'Basket case' gets dropped.
I've had a chest infection for 4 weeks and if I'm singing 'Live forever' (which I am and I'm looking forward to) and a few others I don't think I'll have it in me to scream out 'Basket Case' as well.

The rest is fine and the backing tracks are a cool idea, I'll see what I can find too.
    Other than that I'm cool.

I know backing tracks and Midi aren't perfect, but if I can sort out some realistic cover for the difficult drum tracks it will at least enable the guitar/bass/vocals to play together. I could even "sing" basket case as I wont need to sit on the drums!

I'll see what I can sort out - I promise it wont settle for a Bontemi Organ style track unless anyone has an inner Frank Sidebottom they want to unleash!

Only if you can do the moves as well - that would go down well during the interval!

    Cool.
Playing and maybe backing vocals will be fine for me regardless.

I'm not a singer, I just do my best.
3 or 4 songs and I'm done in, that's the only reason.

I'm a one trick pony and it's not even one hell of a trick, .....I'm just a one trick pony.
