Surprised there haven't been more mentions of Motown stuff in general on this thread, with the exception of Jackson 5 stuff. Could probably nominate at least a dozen great tracks from the Motown heyday for this thread, an incredible output from one label!

Trivia - I was at a gig when Charlie Tumahi split his strides right round the crotch, and had to dash off stage. Rest of the band collapsed laughing, but to Charlie’s credit he returned wearing a shitty boiler suit borrowed from a janitor’s cupboard, and off they went again. I read that Charlie died some time ago.
