I always thought Ed Banger and the Nosebleeds was one of the worst names ever, even if they did launch the career of a certain Steven Morrisey.

"Ed" left to become a member of Slaughter and the Dogs ("Cranked up Really High") which is one of the best names ever.

Vinnie Reilly was also in the Nosebleeds, his solo on “Ain’t been to no music school” is brilliant. Still got my c60 recording of Peel playing it for the first time.
Billy Duffy was also a member for a while.

I saw a poster  once for a band called I Spit On Your Gravy, which I rather liked.

Curfew would be a pretty bad name. They get on most running order posters but people always leave before they come on

Maybe he ain't been to no music school but Vinnie Reilly actually took piano lessons for 14 years...

There used to be a band by me called Be A Monster... (works better in a Midlands accent).

Whilst we’re in the West Midlands locally we had Monkeys Punk which took me a few looks at the poster to get.

Split Beaver I did go to see once, I can’t remember much other than about five minutes of feedback and random noise as the last song in the set.
Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.
