Evolving the "English" language?

What's Hot
Apparently, "embiggen" is now a proper word (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-43298229)

I'm sure that if someone other than Donald Trump had come out with "bigly", we'd all be using the word by now.

"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

The real evolution of the English language is text-speak. The problem is that most folk who actually took the time to learn the English language refuse to use it.

    Why is that a problem?

@Heartfeltdawn ;   Forsooth, I but drew attention to the new word without casting judgement, only to suggest that we use not the word "bigly" because of our Lord Trump's first use of it.

Embiggen is a perfectly cromulent word.

Embiggen is a perfectly cromulent word.

I was disappointed none of the newspapers went with the headline:

    "Embiggen found to be cromulent"

No surprises here. We all know the Americans have a habit of spelling words wrongly.

    This.

I have received a CV from the person applying for a position in my company - " U will C I have great experience which I can use."

I didn't bother to offer an interview. Shocking.

    But not surprised..?
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

The French have https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Académie_française so they choose how and if their language evolves - so since 1803 there has been very little change... Only when words are necessary from other languages are they allowed...

Maybe we should set up such a system... Stephen Fry as our first Immortal?
