Jump in before they all go.

I've been waiting for the owner, Marc, to drop these live after a delivery this week.

I've been chasing this pedal for about 3/4 of a year or something!

Finally. Got a Dual Footswitch version coming.

I heard a few players using them, then a few reviews, and realised I had to have one.

    Description:

The Broadcast is a transformer coupled, discrete Class-A germanium pre-amplifier based on the classic broadcast consoles of the 1960s. In the low-gain setting, the Broadcast can cover everything from sparkling clean boost through to transparent overdrive, all with a healthy dose of volume available to push your amp. The Broadcast features a specially selected Triad steel-core transformer and a NOS germanium transistor. Advancing the gain on the Broadcast starts to saturate the transformer and the pedal’s discrete circuitry, giving rise to a gentle and dynamic compression coupled with subtle thickening of the mid-range. With the gain switch in the high setting and the trim control wound up, the Broadcast starts to deliver heavier distorted sounds with a warm and fuzzy edge to them. The Broadcast covers a wide range of driven and distorted tones whilst remaining dynamic, responding well to pick attack and the subtle nuances of every player.

Be interesting to see how it compares to a Klon and it’s many clones

I think it’s got a ‘direct into recording console’ vibe, so one option is when it’s cranked it gives you that fuzzy aggressive sharp tone which I love!

Sounds like one to put on my list, I have the Origin Effects big box Cali 76 which is a similar concept, ie studio gear into a foot pedal and I live that vibe

They really are insanely dynamic. I worked in guitar shops for years and every new pedal out was 'incredibly touch sensitive' but this is the first time I've ever bought a pedal and would say..... It's incredibly touch sensitive. At low gain settings it's hard to turn off too because everything just sounds better with it on.

  • Ps. you'd be mad not to get the two button version if you can.

  • I’ve got a couple of old 1950’s battery powered germanium mic preamps that sound amazing with a guitar through them but they have no control on them at all and are way too loud. Anyway I have a feeling the broadcast might be in a similar ballpark sound wise.

    so....

thanks guys,  my bank account hates you all.

    Incoming!

Cheers for all your orders guys!

I decided to join this forum as it looks like a pretty good place for chatting gear, which I love to do.

I can confirm the dual footswitch versions of the Broadcast sold out in record time and there is ONE single footswitch version left.

I get new stock in of Hudson stuff on about a four week rota so there won’t be that long to wait till the next lot!

    Sooooo much want.
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I was all set for one of these before the Guitar Nerds podcast said the Echoline Everest Drive made the Broadcast sound 'ordinary'. Now I want both
