The parts are beginning to come together now. The Wudtone finish arrived on Friday.

    benmurray85 I've been reading that thread - very useful.

    imalone Yes it's brass which is chromed and herein lies the tail.

    I had the mad idea that a chrome scratchplate would look good on my black HSS Jap strat. I couldn't find one off the shelf,
    So I acquired a sheet of brass and with some help from the machine shop at work I made one.
    Only the sheet was big enough to make two, so I did.
    So then I had a second scratchplate sat doing nothing, what better excuse to build another bitsacaster.

    Pickups on order for the Fezcaster from Oilcity Pick ups. Nightfighter & a pair of tripleblues.
    Trem arrived from Axesrus.
    Got a couple more clear coats of Wudtone to go.

    I did have a slight problem with fitting the single coil pick ups, the screws supplied don't go through the scratch plate holes. Fortunately I had some that fitted and springs so it worked out OK.

    Here is a pick with the neck on. It will have to come off though as the heel is too deep by a couple of mm.
