Sold - Fender Baja Tele 2011 (50s) Butterscotch - Further Price Drop

2011 Fender Baja Tele in butterscotch. I believe that this is one of the early 50s models.

I purchased this new in 2012 (if I recall correctly) from Peach Guitars. 

It it has had very little use and is in good condition with no paint chips.

There is minor play wear such as light swirls in the black pickguard. In addition there is a tiny indentation on the side of the 3rd fret (between the position marker and fret wire) which I have tried to capture on the images. It is not noticeable when playing but wanted to point it out.

Comes with gigbag, tags etc. I have misplaced the black pickup selector cap, which I will continue searching for but can be picked up fairly cheaply.

Looking for £450 (was £500) cash on collection from Stanway, Essex.

I am at work at present but will upload more images this evening (along with carrying out a thorough check on its condition). Was not planning on selling this but something has caught my eye and as you may have seen from my other thread my gibson is currently being restored due to dreaded dye transfer so can’t list that yet.

Have looked over the Tele and added many photos to the Dropbox link above. Being pedantic only other minor points are a small scratch to the neck pickup and minor marks on the rear lacquer none of which have gone through (these won’t photograph).

Weight is more LP than thinline at circa 9lbs. Now checked and 8.8lbs.

I'll let you know if I ever sell mine  They are quite hard to come by as they were FSR. I don't know why Fender don't do them as a standard colour option. Alternatively you could get a butterscotch one and have it refinished in nitro, but these are really great guitars, they can rock and also cut through a mix.

Please do. Would definitely be interested. I suppose not many came into this country. Got to be my favorite color for a Tele.

Refin could be an option for sure. I have a Baja 60's and it a stonkin guitar. For the money it's an absolute steal. I can't believe they were £499 when they first came out!

Pickup and weight update bump! Forgot to add that the 50s Baja has the Custom Shop Broadcaster bridge pickup along with the Twisted Tele neck pup!! Also just weighed the guitar using the bathroom scale method (if that is actually a thing) and it comes in at 8.8lbs.

Wish it were to me. I messaged the guy in case sale fell through etc. and he said he was desperate for the cash hence the low price. Annoying but just bought a Classic Player 50's Strat so that is some consolation!
