Old hat guitars.

What's Hot
I stumbled across their YouTube Channel. I don't know where the shop is and the guy who demo's the guitars is a bit of an odd ball (although I've grown to like him) but they have some stunning vintage stuff through the doors.

Interesting channel, I quite like that he doesn't mention the price :) It's a bit of "if you have to ask....." perhaps.

    Here's their website:

It's a fantastic shop - Horncastle in Lincolnshire, a few miles from where I grew up. Not cheap but an amazing collection and they're happy to let you try stuff out.

See how did I not know this shop was under 30 mins from me?

I only found out 'cause the old man found it when walking round Horncastle. Not been in for about 3 years mind. Done a few rewinds via their repairman. They've been buying up vintage guitars all over. The amp collection is really good, like going through the Tube Amp Book!

Did not find him odd at all Good salesman and demonstrated well. Lots of personality and makes a change from the average disdainful sod you get in guitar shops

I'm kind of glad I'm far far away from this shop!  I have bad enough GAS w/o having a shop full of cracking vintage guitars nearby...

    Cool.

Don't suppose anyone can recommend a loop pedal thing like he is using? I think it'd be a great tool to improve my theory/jamming

He has to be with those "aspirational" prices.

They must love old guitars so much they can't bear to part with them.

  • I love that ES-175. The ES-125 isn't bad either.
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

Haha! Yes, a little 'ambitious/Vintage & Rare' with some of those prices I think, unless they leave plenty of haggling room??

They are a little steep on the pricing....

In keeping with the subject of selling lovely guitars (at much more reasonable pricing I may add), did you see my DM Neil?
    ;)

I did mate, I was quite tempted but then an R4 Goldtop popped up and that is my holy grail guitar so i've had to snatch that. Thanks for the offer though, best of luck with the sale :)

I used to do the odd bit of work in Horncastle, years ago... I wouldn't have got much work done for gawping at the guitars..

There's nothing, there, in my price range..

so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    Thread resurrection.
Popped in today whilst wife and mother where antique shopping.
A large array of amps and guitars just hanging there ready to be played. The dude who ran the shop sounded and smelt Dutch if you catch my drift.
Seemed a cool chap told me to play anything I wanted into anything that interested me. I didn’t as I’m not in the buying position at the moment but I’d definitely go back.
