New Gibson line finally in stores

What's Hot
Just noticed this on the Andertons site: https://www.andertons.co.uk/gibson-core-collection?fbclid=IwAR3p2VT1mkaiisRPqZl5mSXjZqpu4JknCP_EX0rIF6tpkIOkUdu9Ra_jO7k#sg

We've seen it before, but they are now available! The SGs look great.

The spec they list for the 'normal' SG Standard says slim taper, but I'm sure the Gibson guys showing off these in the recent NAMM videos stated the 'rounded' (50s, presumably) neck on these, and the slim taper was used on the 61 and Junior/Special models.  Probably just an innocent mistake but worth checking if you're looking for rounded/long tenon.

£1999 for the LP Standard is much better! The SG with Maestro would be my pick though.

The Maestro SGs look really really great. The properly decent photography helps too - I'm guessing marketing is one of the major changes we'll see - if they get that right, combined with sensible specs and improved QC then they should be heading in the right direction

Yup. I like that the SG Special is finally the P90 model again, and the Tribute is the 2xHB version, in line with the Les Pauls.

I'm going to be a bit moany and say the Flying V looks awful, I hate that neither-50s-nor-60s scratchplate.  It looks like a hangover from the Henry J era.

Everything else looks pretty damn good.

Gold Top standard with P90's looks lovely....guessing it's going to be heavy though.

The Special in TV yellow is very nice too.

Hoping Manson's get some in so I can go play.

I sense a trip to GuitarGuitar in Epsom this week to check out the 50s and 60s versions...

I want one with the same neck as my 2008 Satin Faded Standard - but nobody seems to know the neck profile on it!

Anyone any thoughts on the difference betwixt the new 2019 LP single cut Junior and the custom shop number?

I'm wondering this too - The custom shop model is almost 3 x the price.

So is the only difference between the Classic and the 60s Standard LPs zebra vs covered and plan vs AA tops?

This range looks like exactly what Gibson need, and the prices are more reasonable. Can't afford a new LP any time soon but best of luck to them.
