Just realised, this whole thread has more than a hint of ...
"Magic mirror in my hand, who is the fairest in the land?"

Harry 7, how is your "Mwahahahaha!!!" laugh coming along?  :)

    Dodgy stickers aside, it’s a Formanta Solo-II.

Weighs as much as a ‘70’s Moskvitch saloon.

    Sounds like one, too.
It looks good, but probably sounds shite! I'd hang it on the wall and forget about it  :)
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

  • That's typically bizarre & awesome. I love your threads, there's absolutely NO way of knowing what I'm going to see!

My nomination for coolest guitar is (as ever) the @WezV home made Firebird 1. It's cooler than a Polar Bear's toenails.

If it’s anything like the Ural 650 I worked on recently, no - the pickups are very good, and it sounded fine. The problem with it was the physical crudeness of the guitar, it took a lot of work to make it properly playable, and even then it still had all the finesse of a Lada.

Very heavy, clunky neck profile, poor fretting, and a loose neck joint. I fixed the frets and the neck joint but it still felt like driving a tractor.

Based on pure numbers alone, the coolest guitar on the fretboard is, on average, more likely to be yours H.

But not this day I'm afraid!

Typically offbeat awesomeness though good sir
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

    Q: What’s the difference between a Jehovah’s Witness and a Lada?

A: You can shut the door on a Jehovah’s Witness.

Very cool. Is that a co-axial output ?
    DIN plug, not co-ax.
Din? Clearly meant for punk then, no?

Not my kind of guitar at all but glad that you like it!

Personally I think that the coolest guitar is my Tele that I built, but then I guess I'm biased!

They fitted DIN plugs so the backstage KGB could rip it out easily if things got too decadent.

    All failures so far.

No LEDs in the neck = fail.

That is cool. Will you be able to make a cable to use it? How does that work?

Wonder what would have been at the other end of the DIN cable.
