The necks are the main attraction of the Korean plywood Squiers, but I suppose 90 quid is a bit much for a Squier neck. Tuners and nut are not up to it so that's more expense to rule out viability.

I see 90s Squiers advertised for 190 quid which is not really value for money from a player's point of view. I suppose some people might (*shudder*) collect them.
Yeah, the necks are rather good, especially on the E series (serial numbers that start E10 with 5 more digits, and in silver) -these were the first batch made in Korea at Young Chang's factory in 1987 and 1988; many of these actually have a solid body and are not ply/laminate. I have one in Torino red that has a solid body.

SE's are a great guitar for the money, which I is usually pay about 40-50 quid for .As others have said full size and solid .This is important as  as that bird you fancy in the audience can tell if your playing ply wood and wont want to know .
