Still plenty of repairs on Denmark St. or nearby.

Does anyone know what happened to Tom Mates? He worked in a basement in Denmark Street some years ago making and repairing guitars.

Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.
Stockist of: Earvana & Graphtech nuts, Faber Tonepros & Gotoh hardware, Fatcat bridges. Highwood Saddles.

Pickups from BKP, Oil City & Monty's pickups.

  • we are up to date with our repair work at the moment - so quick turn around if you care to pop to Croydon
You've done great work for me in the past, it's purely that I work 100m from Denmark Street so very convenient

That's a surprise. Tom never seemed like a Corporate type of guy. Hopefully he kept making his own rather nice guitars. A note on Ralph McTell's website confirmed that Tom was working for Fender in 2015 but now, who knows? Tom did make me a particularly nice Tele back in the late 80s.
