I have used Velcro for speaker cables but found it causes more problems that it solves. You can tuck the Velcro out of the way by wrapping it onto itself but the Planet Waves cable ties (elastic and hook) worked better for me.

I've recently bought some "bungee ball" ties for bigger cables and multicores which are good, come in a variety of sizes and can be linked together for big jobs.

I just use white electrical tape for mic leads now.

  • Velcro great for about 10 gigs then gets worn out, useless when covered in beer
Planet waves ties ok provided you can get the tension right
White tape my way to go except the need to tidy up all the little bits you break off and nobody gives you it back after borrowing .
