I like the black Tele. Not sure why these are getting grief next to other similar stuff.

I have a Vintage T (hence the username) it’s an absolute beast. Super well made, neck is fabulous, pickups absolutely roar. Certainly stands up against my Custom Shop Strat. One I’ll always keep for sure.

High end super strats. I will withhold my judgement

Eh, last time I checked these were early to
mid £2000’s, when did they become 3k plus, this just feels like a price correction - I’m sure they’re great guitars.

Not sure if anyone will be interested in this. Nice looking guitars, but way out of my price range:

Any guitar that is styled along the lines of a strat just looks wrong to me - Fender created a shape that just cant be copied or varied

I don’t get all the negativity over these. What’s the difference between these and the other boutique Fender copies? Luxxtone and Xotic seem around the same price. Can someone enlighten me please?

Oh don’t worry I’m sure we’ll have a pop at them as well at some point.

There is no difference, Brits just like to moan and be negative about things cos they can.

Ah, that’s what I thought. Negative Nellies. Personally, I’d rather a 2.5K boutique brand than a Fender. I trust their QC far more.

I did actually own x2 GJ2s and they're not comparable with G&L, nevermind Rocketfire and both the latter are cheaper than Friedman.

Imagine it's simply down to how poor the £ is against the $ importing them will cost a lot more than a few years ago?

I bought the white over burst, absolutely love it! Admittedly I’m a self confessed Friedman/Jackson fan boy but all the same it’s a great guitar.

I already own a Mexican made Charvel So Cal but this is so far removed there’s not much point in comparing them.

Won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but that’s ok.

Looks a lot better in your photos than in Peach's - looks like a great guitar.

I like the headstock! I'd be interested in trying one before making a judgement call on them.  Re the price, Ibanez are charging over a grand for non-Prestige models and ESP are up to 1500 now for LTD's, so is 2k for a Friedman really an outrage in that light? I'm not saying they are great value, but I think they're no worse than other brands

Exactly this. They used to be around £2k and have gradually been creeping up.

Played one in andertons a few years back and it was lovely,  but there are other guitars I'd buy before this if i were ever in the market for a £2k+ guitar.

Also, you could have a shiflett tele and a us strat for the same £

I quite like the look of them, but it's a shame they have the big blocky heel and I'm sure I wouldn't like the neck profiles.

If I had that kind of money I would buy a motorcycle .As my wife will stop me from buying either, "grow up yer too old" its easy to say .When I see guitars like this I often wonder why they have bothered but someone must buy them somewhere .
