Yes, exactly that. Feels really thin at the dusty end when you first pick it up, but then it just works.

Yep!

I plugged these three in last night, along with my 1995 LP Studio. By far the loudest pickups was on the TV Special, and the neck pickup on that was the loudest of all. The Junior was not as loud as the Special and while not thin, was thinner. The new one wasn't too far off the LP Studio to be honest sonically, but of course felt different in the hands. The neck on the Special is also by far the biggest neck, really really chubby! The new one is the heaviest also. Perhaps not surprising given the maple cap
