Lets see if this works... Picking up on a few comments on other threads has given me an idea... not always a good thing tbh... But here goes...

THE FRETBOARD COLLABORATION CHINESE WHISPERS CHALLENGE - or TFCCWC for short...

Below is a mixed track of drums, courtesy of "Jessie"
you have:
a little fill
4 bars of settle
8 bars of intro
8 bars of intro/chorus
16 bars of verse ( or 2 verses or 8 bars each or 4 verses of 4 bars etc etc)
8 bars of chorus
2 bar break
8 bars chorus
5 bars of verse with breaks
8 bars of verse
32 bars chorus/outro...

Phew!!!!

thats threefiddy of anyones time....

Needs more than just drums tho'

download the drum track here 105bpm:



record your part, bounce the single track as a wav and dropbox back to me at mix@thefretboard.co.uk

i will then add it to the rest of the tracks and on it goes.....

first up is a bass line.... once the bass is done, over to someone else for a guitar... then over to someone else for another guitar... then keys etc etc etc... 

So who wants to do the bass? anything goes... any key, any style, its up to you... first to say yes gets the bass duty... and sets the tone for the track...

Got a bassline written ... and recorded ... but it needs to be played a lot better.  Give me a day to relearn bass :-)

After about 3 hours fighting my internet connection I've managed to send a bass line.

Now I'm going for a good long scream into space.

A technical question (there's always one annoying smart arse). Do we need to be able to download the tracks with bass added so that we can add a part?
