Right. I’m having a dilemma. I want a Suhr Classic Pro from Peach, as they have the dealer select builds that have the Thornbucker+, ML single coils and roasted maple neck - all of which I want on my guitar. The problem is, I can’t decide what colour to go for. I’ve always had a thing for sunburst/maple neck (Got a classic player in that) , and they have a got a
gorgeous one:

HOWEVER... I keep looking at the Olympic White model with rosewood fretboard, which looks stunning! (They have one with quite a light fretboard, which I really like)

Also quite like the look of the sunburst with rosewood, but not as much as the maple.

The Olympic white one needs a mint green pickguard to look right. That will add another £100 at Suhr’s silly pickguard prices. Hence....sunburst.

I am an Olympic White man myself.  however, if I were you, don't get distracted, get what you originally wanted to get.

    White no question.

  • I’d go white too, but the sunburst does look nice.

    The Burst.
I think the ML singles sound better with a maple neck.

I agree white would win with a different pick-guard, not keen on the white on white.  But I prefer rosewood to maple, always.

Sims will make you a custom pick guard to the exact dimensions of the Suhr one if you send the original to them. I did this recently for a Suhr T-style with P90s that I own. The cost was about half what Suhr themselves quoted.

That’s good to know - I had a feeling they sound brighter with the maple given the demo Peach did.

I prefer the white one, but I HATE the look of a black humbucker on an all white guitar so that would have to go.

I've never really understood the popularity of Olympic White, but in this case I think it looks better than the sunburst.

Both look good, but I would go for sunburst. Seems a shame to not see the grain on a guitar at that price.

Unfortunately I don’t have the opportunity to do that.

I'd buy the white so I can put on a dark torty gaurd.
