Looks par for the course to me. You can always tell a fake because the Chinese manage to get the tuners properly aligned.

Could the original screw have been sheared off by over tightening at some point and so the tuners got re-fixed wherever the new screw could be made to fit? I've come across that on one or two of my previous guitars

Ok, Memphis didn't always run exactly in line with the main Nashville factory so entirely possible it's fine. That 335 on gbase looks right so I wouldn't be too worried.

In fact, I found a pic of my old ES-330. Definitely real - 2018 model year, made in Memphis. Bought new from Coda in mid-2018.

As long as the guitar in question is a Memphis-made guitar (basically most semis) then you're fine.

I have exactly the same model (that's the limited edition cherry, isn't it?) with the same markings (serial number slightly different, obviously) so it looks OK on that score.
    Call me Dave.

Mine hasn't got the dots but had a minetune on it. Any wonky tuners are my fault.

That looks more like you'd expect.  Serial number fonts etc are all the same.  Tuners are pretty straight.  And presumably it's the exact same model.

  • Answer from seller " could just be the photo angle as they're as per Gibsons' usual position "

It's likely that someone removed it and put something else on and they tried to put the original back and ended up with this.

Don’t reckon that’s the photo angle, they don’t look parallel to each other, never mind the headstock

How does it look from a straight on front view?
Does it say Gibson or Gisbon?

No, I was slightly tempted, then the tuners put me off, but just window shopping and making conversation, the link to the ad is above with more pics.
