Listening to the Megadeth catalogue, it's interesting to see just how much difference each of Mustaine's co-guitarists has made to the sound.  Especially since most of the time they weren't making big songwriting contributions.

Isn't this thread turning into a bit of your favourite player type thing though?

I mentioned Lukather as my choice but thats not because I listen to him in Toto - that's obviously him....but I can recognise him in other stuff too where its not as apparent

Not sure thats the case with some of the names mentioned on here...

Sco is definitely one of my favourite players. Thing with him as well, he’s been so diverse and changed his playing throughout his career, yet every phase is still so unquestionably him. There aren’t too many players I can really say that about.
