NGD: Maverick F1 in candy floss pink

What's Hot

By thunder this thing is fun. Makes me happy just looking at it. The neck is effortless, and the trem works a treat. Pickups are D-Zone and Air Norton.

The finish is a factory one-off. Don’t know what the actual name is but Estheroid said candy floss and that’s good enough for me.

Now looking for an MXR micro flanger.

See, this is stuff I missed first time round. My guitar teech has already commented that it looks like CC Deville’s guitar!

Gorgeous! I've always kind of wanted a Maverick despite the fact that I know I don't get on with the skinny neck.

Very nice! The shop down the road from me still has a few Mavericks. Always like the volume/tone pot idea.

That is so cool, congratulations! Funnily enough I was looking at Mavericks on eBay the other day. I love that colour, it looks wicked. @hollywoodrox is going to be all over that
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I'm probably the only member of this forum mentioned by name in Whiskey in the Jar ;)

I thought it would take a bit of getting used to, but it was really comfortable straight away. I suppose my other guitars all have 60’s style necks - if I’d been used to baseball bats it might have been a bit of a jolt.

I see what you’re saying - it would need to be quite dark maple though, roasted maybe.

Super, i love me a maverick (i own 6 of the dam things) HNGD

Not quite as 80's neo pink but here's an f3 i refinish a few years back in shell pink

think i picked this one up from cashgen for £95, it was silver and a little grubby but cleaned up nice.

    Noisy's new look...

I don’t know how much truth is in it but back in the mid to late 90’s a chap that ran a music shop in Cleethorpes claimed to be responsible in some manner for Mavericks design.

  • That is a distinctive look, to be sure, but not one I feel I could carry off while still retaining my natural gravitas.

Ding dong! That’s how shell pink should be done.
