If you fancy a Casino you might also want to consider the Peerless Songbird (or Revolution as it is now known).
The one you are referring to is called the "Revolver" (Epiphone sell the Revolution Casino) and it has a solid centre block like a 335. The Casino hollow construction one is still called the Songbird.

Ooops! Thanks for clearing that up.

This is why I have not been given the secret codes.

I like the Epiphone 339 and Casino.

I'm also waiting to see how much the Fender Coronado will go for.
Here you go, due next month. I'm going to get a Coronado I think....

Is £650 a bit expensive for a Chinese made guitar without a case (or even a gig bag by the looks of it)?
Are they made in China? I thought they were going to be Mexican.

I'm hanging on till the Squier VM versions come out (fingers crossed).

Nobody has mentioned the Hofner Verythin 'Contemporary'. When I bought my Ibanez AGS83B, it came down to a choice between the Ibanez and the Hofner.
The Hofner had a slightly wider nut width than the Ibanez and that's what swung it in the end. But the Hofners were very nice guitars (around £350 in 2008) and had decent pickups. Much better guitars, I thought, than the Epiphone Dots. The Dots were too heavily lacquered it seemed to me - I actually preferred the Dot Studios with the basic satin finish which allowed then to resonate a bit more.
    Yes they have!
My mistake. I need pictures, it seems.   :D

GAK have them at £610 - which feels a bit rich when you know that the pickups will be shonky...

The Chinese made Aria TA 50 is about the cheapest semi guitar that is good enough to be deemed 'playable' out of the box.  I have one and freely admit it is no Gibson but then it costs a lot less than a Gibson.  On mine the scratchplate buzzed so I removed it.  The pickups are nothing special either but for the money.....

Thing is ... there really is a big difference between the sound a Thinline ... basically a chambered guitar with a f hole, a semi-hollow like a 355 and a full hollow like a Gretsch Electromatic or one of the deeper bodied Ibanez models. Really is different horses for different courses. A 335 or a Thinline will do loud rock pretty well, whereas you will really need to be up on your anti-feedback game to use a beast like my Artcore 75 deep body ... it will howl like a wolf on heat with the slightest provocation :)
Can't beat the looks and pose value though.

I had a Vintage before getting a Gibson (from @surfguy, via the old site :) ), and it was very nice, although much lighter than the Gib. But I tried the Vintage against an Epi Sheraton in the shop, and found the Vintage much, much nicer.

I'm not normally a fan of the Thinline's looks, but that's very pretty indeed.

Not that I don't think it can be made a feature :) I do a lot of feedback/Bigsby wangery ... but I have found there are a lot of 'newer' guitarists shall we say, raised on solids and super-stratty things ... to whom the sheer 'live' quality of a fully hollow is a bit of a shock.

I have a Yamaha SA500, and if you can find one I would heartily recommend one. It's the same chassis as the Yamaha TVL without the Bigsby, extra pickup and switching.
