However, whilst I really like him, I could replace Michael Landau with Nile Rodgers or Andy Summers or Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson
Nice one Wayne
Dave Gilmore
Mark Knopfler
Lindsey Buckingham
Gary Clarke Jr
Steve Stevens
Although if I thought about it for more than 2 minutes, I could probably come up with some "cooler" less mainstream ones.
Robbo as well should have been there too.
Perhaps is should be a top 10!!
Johnny Marr
Prince
Nile Rodgers
James Wilsey
Honourable mentions for Robert Fripp (but only on Bowie records), Adrian Belew (but only on Talking Heads records) and Neil Young.
Also interesting to see Grant Green and Wes Montgomery pop up several times. Been getting into those two (and Kenny Burrel) recently. Some cracking albums between them.
It's weird in that when I listen to either I'm completely in awe, and would potentially trade a minor organ to be able to play like them. Just utter mastery (and a tone to die for in the case of Trucks). Yet I wouldn't put them on my list as I don't think I've been influenced by their music overall. Funny how that works!

But why narrow it down to just 5?
I can think of a dozen more I like just as much.
Scott Gorham
John Mayer
