...my strat copy is so awful it's almost not worth counting.
    *That* bad???
It's actually alright to play now I've lowered the action a bit so I retract that. The frets on it are tiny so it's never gonna be great for my tastes. Sounds totally dead unplugged but it's ok plugged in. Might rebuild it part by part into something worthwhile :)

Why 3 acoustics? I'm finding two is possibly one too many.
One 12-string, one good 6-string, one cheap 6-string with a magnetic pickup in it for open mics, acoustic sounds with distortion etc.

Also not counting the travel-size one which is technically mine but seems to belong to my daughter now... :)
    also different tunings
    different nut size
and.. if you are fussy, some have different resonance: Lowden/Avalon guitars are amazing but add lots of overtones. Some complicated pieces can work better with less overtones, with a more traditional USA-style bracing pattern
Diff woods work better with styles too. Adirondack + Rosewood is best for pick playing and strumming for me, but cedar or redwood for fingerstyle

  • I’d best not go there...
I'm probably in the same boat. Must have been something in the air, or the water at Stubber's Green

does your playing improve faster if you use 2 or 3 practice amps at the same time?
