Which did you prefer - Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe?

I used to see this old guy when I was swimming every day, he could be a bit of an annoying homophobic ass but he was a real motormouth so it was nigh on impossible to avoid conversations. It came up one time how amazing he thought that Marilyn Monroe was, and he was shocked when I said that I preferred Audrey Hepburn. He refused to believe that someone could prefer Audrey!

Anyway, it just came to mind when I saw a pic of Audrey online, so I thought I'd throw the question out and see what forum members thought: Which did you prefer - Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe? 

I'm hoping that we can keep things civilised ....

That would depend on if you had to live with them I guess or whether we're just talking about just physical appearances. On looks alone it would have to be Marilyn for me, from the rumours it sounds like she’d more fun in bed too.

As a kid I used to laugh when my Dad would say how gorgeous Marilyn Monroe was.  It was the 80s and she seemed so different to what beauty was for a 15 year old me at the time. Fast forward 35 years and I totally get the appeal.

Never been an Audrey Hepburn fan tbh, waif-like, big ears, nasally voice, not-so-good actor - Marylin all the way (she could act when given the chance - watch Bus Stop or The Misfits to see her actually act rather than be Marylin. )

I've found that in general women seem to find the Audrey as divine, but I don't get it.

So Monroe I guess. Obviously a troubled soul. It seems to me that she lived her life like a candle in the wind, never knowing who to cling to. But I never met her, so what do I know.
