Really thought hard about it but I just don't think I'd use it much, I'd need to spend more to make the most of it - it would just open a dangerous gateway to start buying amp heads again which is a rabbit hole I really shouldn't go down...

I saw this this morning, dithered too long and it was automatically removed from my basket.

Then I saw them come up "for delivery late Oct", still at £99, so I took a punt anyway. If it works out it seems like a great deal but I am not holding my breath.

And now it's showing as "Not available" again ... hmm

Hmm, I opted for 'saver' delivery as I'm away this week and back at the weekend so that suited me.

I wonder if they've fulfilled the next day delivery orders over the others, regardless of what order they were bought in.

Is it an MDF/Chipboard cab ? If so then the HB 2x12 with vintage 30’s is still miles better imho

It’s a ply cab.

I paid for next day delivery (as I’m at home tomorrow), guess I’ll wait until they get another batch. Will see how people who get them tomorrow react, if buyers remorse kicks in I can cancel the order before they despatch.

The Yamaha cab was half the price of the Harley Benton and looks loads nicer!

Mine has arrived!

It's much brighter than the cabinet it replaced so I'm going to need to modify most of my patches to really get a feel for it.

The speakers sound very different to one another which is interesting and you can run one or the other. It looks quite smart.

I did get an alarming crackle followed by it cutting out at one point, but I need to track down if that's one of my cables going bad due to my shifting things around.

I'm working so I can't really have a go in depth and I imagine it needs a lot of breaking in.

I'm on the lookout for a lightweight, portable stereo power amp that I can use with my Helix Rack.

Good to know they've arrived - makes me feel a bit more confident that the one I have on pre-order might be honoured. (I'm still not feeling particularly confident ...)

So little mini review from a very small amount of low volume playing.

First up it's quite compact and looks very smart though it isn't a lightweight cab. I'm not sure how it would stand up to gigging. I think the shiny black might get scuffed.

Not sure it's worth the £500 RRP, but probably the £375 RRP they usually go for and £99 is a stupid bargain (The speakers in it are £100 each).

From playing it, it's quite unusual.

Firstly it's probably not the ideal home cab as it has 2x150W drivers so they feel a bit stiff at the home volumes I'm currently playing it at. I think I probably need to get it somewhere I can give it some welly and break it in some before I can judge.

Compared to my old cab it has a lot of top end and not a huge amount of bass (surprising as it's closed back). I'll have to redo a lot of my Helix patches before I can really say how it is.

The speakers are very mismatched. The Tonker sounds like a rocky Celestion type thing, but the Legend1218 sounds more like a Jensen or something you might have in a Twin Reverb meaning you have to be very careful the drive sounds don't get too harsh and fizzy.

I think the trick is probably to run it stereo as it would to in the THR100HD. It will be quite nice to be able to have a Fender and Marshall type sound through the right speakers as well as all the options for wet dry rigs etc.

More updates as I learn more!
