We are already paying for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney Plus.  I'm not adding another one as well.

Personally, I'd rotate between them, and have one of them for 6 months, and catch up on the good stuff, then switch to a different one for 6 months.  The problem is that there is stuff my wife and daughters watch on Netflix, and I want to watch the Mandalorian next month - so no Britbox for the moment.

For me it's more about then charging us for all the programmes we already paid them to create! Though appreciate this is new presumably as a loss leader

When they have their budget review meeting perhaps someone might suggest keeping more than 50p to one side for the script.

It was shockingly unfunny, which is more or less what the original series became in its later years.

In many cases you paid for an independent production company and the people involved in the production for the rights to show the program at the original time of airing.

The BBC has to pay again to show it again. That's how rights work.

Fair enough, lack of knowledge on my part. Perhaps I should avoid commenting on TV stuff in any case as I hardly watch it due to a severe lack of interest in the content!
