@digitalscream and @monquixote, how much effort is requried to set up a new section or sub-section?

Little to no effort to set up a section, but we don't really want sections with bugger all posts in them. This would likely be a very quiet section.

Indeed. 

I really don't like to see little used categories. I suspect guitars reunited and events would both be quite quiet, but a "bands" section would be a good idea.

I've got to scoot out the door due to work commitments; however, here is a quick list of ten threads that, I believe, could have used a proper "Events" home.  They might not be many, but if they have a proper place to reside, they won't be rapidly buried by other threads less useful threads.

I don't mind about a section, but I would love my old SG back. That said, I say it often enough it probably doesn't need its own section.

The important thing is that, for instance, Jason won't have to start multiple threads in various sections for The Guitar Show 2016.

I know I've been banging on about this events section since at least the London drinkies @TTny jacked up. I know that the forum is for everyone, and it's not for me to come in with wild demands and expect them to be done, but I believe there is real benefit in this as it places all sorts of meet-ups in one place.

Think of this, if we had an events section, you could put a thread in there to invite everyone to the grand unveiling of that boat restoration, or floor, of yours.

I normally look for the latter, but the ratio must sometimes be 40-50:1.

It's hard to track any acoustics here since they are lost under pages of electrics. An acoustic pages in the classifieds would be very welcome

An separate Acoustics classified section is rather more likely to happen than a guitars reunited section.

It might even happen tomorrow if I remember.

Your acoustic guitar ad would currently get buried under electric guitars, pickups, picks, strap buttons, screws (for fucking Christ's sake!!!) and capos.  You do not stand a chance. 

If we wanted to organise a meet up, to have a few drinks and discuss your dilemma, well it would get buried under a several threads about Chappers, three threads about Andertons, and fifteen threads about how much people on here dislike Chappers and Andertons.
