  • Yes. Are there not other wraparound bridges available that are compensated?

That is almost three times what I paid for a pre-owned one from France. (Lightning bolt type for Melody Maker.)

    Try mainland European dealers.

They are expensive, but they're pretty nice.  There are alternatives from Faber, ABM, Rockinger - but slightly different designs.

I think the MojoAxe is the only one which looks almost exactly like an uncompensated bridge.  Gibson used a very similar bridge on the Lukas Nelson signature Jr, made by TonePros, but they don't seem to be available to buy separately.

They help Gibsons stay in tune. I’ve always found that worth it.

I've not found another that's as good if you want it looking like an original style

I've used rockinger but not as nice to look at, I'll try a Faber next

lots of wraparound interest . we've got to restock a few types again.

Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.

Faber do a version, which is pretty good, milled compensation, depends on the guitar it is installed on though.

ABM ones are great if the look doesn't bother you.  Have one on my Special and it intonates spot on.

I had a mojoaxe compensated bridge on my LP Special for about a week.  The intonation was better but the tone was shot to pieces.  It was like an SG, all top and middle with a very light bottom end.  Hated it.

  • Going against the grain of forum wisdom, I find the stock Gibson bridges to be fine. don’t have any noticeable intonation problems with the bridges on either my 2019 LP Junior or Special.

I have one on my vintage Gibson 56 single cut special, love it. But to be fair I haven’t tried any others on this LP.

I've heard many who have said that tone can become so iffy/brittle when they fit certain wrap overs - Not necessarily always the same brand 'at fault' - but it does tend to be an issue that crops up from time to time

I put a normal Mojoaxe wrapover on my Junior (this was before they did the intonated ones) and it changed the sound markedly; made it so bright that I had to compensate by fitting nickel wound strings.
