Not sure if everyone saw this - new Duesenberg model for this year. Not sure what I think yet - but can assume it’ll be pricey.

Is it my eyes, or does the hard tail one have a shorter scale?

I don't love it but I also don't hate it. Odd one!

  • At first glance I thought it was a twin-necked guitar - now that would have been a bit different!

As it is, I like it anyway. I generally love most of what Duesenberg do though, so not surprising.

Is it new, or just reissued? Feels like I’ve seen this before from them, no?

*edit* Nope, I'm thinking of this Schecter:

  • I really like that, very cool looking :)
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I’m really looking forward to trying out the split king pickups. It will be good so see how authentic they sound.

The vibrato system on that will be wonderful but I think I oddly prefer the stop tail. A first for me because I always grab the non hard tail versions.

I think it’s a great design, they have nailed that in a way that it’s not classic yet it’s not out there.

That was my first thought too and what is a bit of a gawky plank in a Fender style becomes a deco work of art as a Duesey.

New pickups from Duesey is probably the most exciting part here, they make some great sounding stuff.

Both 25.5" according to the spec.  Maybe the publicity pic is a composite of two seperate photos?

    That’s a cost savings technique.

  • Do not like the weird fat rear end. Looks deliberately designed to be uncomfortable to play!

Not keen on the trem having a tension bar either - but that's me wanting it to be a jazzmaster...

Otherwise, quite smart! Like the inlays.

Believe the pickups are available on the 25th anniversary starplayer too, but don’t quote me.

  • 3 a side headstock, to make it harder to use the trem and stay in tune. Very Gibson of them.

(I know the nut can be cut well to accommodate this, but I bet none of them leave the factory like that!).

Side note - you can have any colour you want as long as it's black.
