Waiting for Fender to deliver a '68 Custom Twin to me (hopefully in the next week or so).  Would appreciate a heads up on build quality etc.

    Oh, and Nice!

Fuck this is truly a magical little amp- I never really understood the price diff between the Princeton and the Blues Jr until now.

@Gassage - I suppose the clue is in your username - but have you recently won the Lottery, been in involved in a bank job or anything similar?

It is actually quite difficult to keep up with your level of acquisition.

Would be very interested to hear some clips of this - I'm very much in the mood for buying a small Fender amp.

    Looks great btw.

OK- I had a really good year at work and got a nice fat bonus- like 33% of my salary and I'm a director of the company. Last yr I lost my job in January 2013 and sold a lot of gear that broke my heart including the best R8 ever!

When I knew my bonus, I set aside a sum of money to GAS (half of the bonus) with target prices and what have you.....I have managed to buy everything under the target price (which was basically the eBay fire sale price if that makes sense.....it's my savings fund. I'd flip anything I've bought recently with the exception of the Taylor and the Anderson.

Cont: I wanted to get a great example of every guitar I'd ever need. Pretty much done it now, but am looking for a nice Gretsch and then done.

Re the Princeton- what a great amp- I highly rec these- takes pedals like Rolf Harris takes kids to the park.....

Pls don't take that in an arrogant way- a few people on here have an idea of how bad 2013 was for me and I was just over the moon to be able to do this.....

Gonna do a family album later...!

I bought one of these in January, I'm still in love with it.
It doesn't fit in with any of my gigging needs but I don't care, this one's just for me.

I can see me noodling away in my summerhouse with this amp and a P90 hollowbody well into my dotage.

Swapped my PRRI for a BJ for a week or 2, tried the BJ once then didn't bother again, it was shite in comparison. Sounded like a cardboard box with a radio in it compared to the Princeton. I'd like to try the '68 SF, looks lovely.

What do you think of the Celestion 10-30 speaker?

My Tubemeister 18 (obviously a differently designed amp) came with one out of the factory and I was fairly underwhelmed by it.  A bit harsh and one dimensional.  I swapped it out for a US made Eminence that came out of a Pro Junior and it made a huge difference.

    Just askin'.

The cheap Celestion seems to work very well in mine.
    I've run it into other cabs with a 10" Ragin Cajun, a 12" Eminence something-or-other, a Celestion Classic Lead 80 and a G12-75t.

So far none of them have made me want to change out the one it came with, it seems to have been chosen pretty carefully (or luckily) by Fender, regardless of price.

Cool.  Not talking down the Princeton in any way, just curious how different amps work with various speakers.  Looking forward to how the Twin will sound with the Celestion V Types.

Edit: found the answer for my question already;)

Very nice amps, I'm tempted for the last few months. Trying to save up for Tone King Falcon, but I really like these.
