Hmmm....  sounds like a bit of a tall tale to me.
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.

How did the police know your mobile number?!
This is what I was wondering
If you call the police on your mobile, and give your name, they have your mobile.

When my father, whom I haven't seen for years died, they had my number from when he called the police once, and they took my name and his, and then when I called the police with a different number later on, the association was updated  and they were easily able to contact me because of this recorded association and because I had called them recently with my new number.

A.police officer was telling me about it once, but I can't remember what it is. I guess it's like the gangs database but for civilians? (I'm not in a gang)

I think it's part of the National Police Computer. Maybe some coppers can correct or confirm this.

I've had to call the police previously (and give my address). So I'm guessing they had my number on file from that?

They made it clear the landline was registered to me - i had to ask which one as i have more than one landline in my name.

I was panicking it was the property that's currently empty and an hour's drive away.

I’m more amazed the police had the time or interest to call. Our farmer neighbour had his brand new multi-thousand pound tractor stolen last week. The police were no help at all and have told him to just claim it off the insurance. It turns out there’s been a whole spate of this type of crime in the area. The police know all about it and how it’s done (the thieves are using drones to spy out expensive farm equipment that’s worth nicking) but have done nothing so far.

If the dog's learned how to use the phone then lock your credit cards away safely or one day you'll come home to a 20 foot high pile of tines of dogfood.
Can the dog use a tin opener as well :D

There is no 'H' in Aych, you know that don't you? ~ Wife
