Having just received @Reflex 's guitar hanger, I'm offering the following lowly collection of Strat / Tele bits - the white plastics are looking a bit yellowed and need a clean and the bridge/trem is a bit ropey, but hopefully these are of use to someone:

Paying it forward is the principal of giving something away for the benefit of someone else without necessarily getting something back in return.

So it all started with one person giving something away and then more people adding to the thread and those who receive offering something on.

What does pay it forward mean?

Pay it forward is an expression for when the recipient of an act of kindness does something kind for someone else rather than simply accepting or repaying the original good deed.

Normally, if you lend someone some money or does them a favour, they pay you back. If you are in a good position in life, you may do so without any expectation of repayment, so when that person offers to pay you back, you might tell them to instead pay it forward - bestow an act of kindness on someone else instead.

I was more thinking that it's a bit wasteful to ship an empty box.

Particularly a box that sounds to be ideally sized to hold a guitar case ....
