Playing at yet another Old Folks Home this afternoon ... for nothing (again). Mr Bandleader MUST get his sh!t together and organise something that gets back what we've spent on putting the band together.

I don't mind the gig, all I need is guitar, pedalboard, and 5W practice amp, we don't need a big PA ... but the thought of breathing in piss fumes for 2 hours and not getting paid really rankles.

EDIT I take back the bit about breathing piss fumes. There weren't any And the old people really liked us, some of them seemed to know the words of the songs, which would have been popular back when they were young people. Still want to get paid though.

With much relief I can now return to this thread and post, as tonight marks my return to live giggage following a whole gig-free month, and only my third gig of the year.

Wentbridge, Pontefract it is tonight, and rather than have to slope off work early and use up holiday, I have volunteered to do a service call in nearby Sheffield. Win.

The old Telecaster will be getting its jollies on, and rumour has it I am singing a song tonight, for only the second time ever. Last time was I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), tonight it's Should I Stay Or Should I Go. Wish me luck...

I am not gigging this weekend but my new band is, does that count ? This was an outstanding gig for the singer's old band and I am away so unable to make it. I am being depped by a sax player, who had depped with that old band, and the set is a mix of both band's set lists. That's the short version.

We are doing the same again next weekend but I will be there, so gig goers of Quinton expect a highly unrehearsed mush on the 4th.

Oh no I forgot to put Fridays gig up and it was a stormer at the Abbot in Redhill. Started right after the footie played till almost midnight with no break. Next one for Borrowed Time is April 11th at the Queens Head in Horsham.

My newish band is our doing it's first gig on Friday at The Louise Armstrong pub in Dover.

We do R'n'B covers in a rather Feelgood type fashion with a few blues and rock favourites dotted in the set. 

Currently operating under the name of The Johnny Green Blues Band after a name in Dr Feelgoods Goin' Back Home.

Night and day Manchester in about 5minutes if this band ever finish their soundcheck......audible tuning and played 3 songs......it's only a half hour set lads come on!
